COLLECT CASH, NOT DUST

Rather than inserting platitudes about how we were all stuck inside during 2020, I'll explain how that time indoors prompted me to find a solution for raging cabin fever.

I created this platform because I wanted something for myself that didn't exist. I desired a sustainable, local and approachable way too access outdoor gear and experiences. Enter Pak.

Pak is a localized approach to renting outdoor gear. It allows users to harness the wild without bringing the bulk. Imagine if Turo, Airbnb and Facebook Marketplace had a wanderlusting love child.

Pak enables users to rent gear from local communities and also share their own gear locally. Imagine you're traveling to a new city and there's oodles of opportunities for outdoor adventure. Let's use a kayak as an example. You don't want to buy one, you definitely don't want to bring one, and corporate retail outlets are going to overprice their gear.

Here's another option.

Sign in to Pak, search 'kayak', enter your destination and when you'd like to rent. See which locals are renting out their kayak within your preferred mile radius. View the current rate, specs, photos, reviews, and past trips the kayak has encountered. Apply, reserve and enjoy your gear. Return the kayak at the end of the agreed rental period and be on your way, baggage and commitment free.

Designing this app allowed me to dive into UI and UX processes, wire framing, a deeper involvement in graphic design that I ever had before. I'm looking forward to bringing this platform to fruition.

I created the logo and brand with Photoshop and the app has been designed and wireframed in Adobe XD. Currently seeking coding and capital opportunities. Interested? Let's talk.
